Schedule a broadcast or save it as a draft

Send a broadcast later at a chosen date and time, keep it as a draft for review, and cancel or send a scheduled broadcast early.

Schedule for later

  1. Build the broadcast as usual (Send your first broadcast).
  2. On the Review & Send step, under When should this go out?, choose Schedule for later.
  3. In Send at, pick the date and time.
  4. Click Schedule.

The broadcast shows as Scheduled on the Broadcasts page and goes out within about a minute of the chosen time.

  • The time uses your device’s time zone. If your team works across time zones, check the time zone of the computer you schedule from.
  • Recipients are locked in when you schedule, not re-calculated at send time. Contacts tagged after you schedule won’t be included. Contacts who opt out in the meantime are still removed.

Cancel a schedule or send it now

Open the scheduled broadcast from the Broadcasts page. You’ll see “Scheduled for date” and two buttons:

  • Send now — sends straight away instead of waiting.
  • Cancel schedule — the broadcast goes back to a Draft. Nothing is sent.

Save as a draft

On the Review & Send step, click Save as Draft instead of sending. Give the broadcast a name first — drafts need one.

Drafts are useful when someone else should check the campaign first. To send a draft, open it from the Broadcasts page and click Send.

Drafts are also created automatically by Google Sheets sync: new rows become a draft every day, and nothing goes out until someone clicks Send.

Limits are checked when a draft is actually sent, not when it’s saved. If your monthly allowance runs out in between, the send is refused with a message — see How broadcasts are delivered.

Delete a broadcast

Open the broadcast and click Delete, then Confirm. You can’t delete a broadcast while it is Sending. Deleting removes the campaign and its report from Vatli; messages already delivered stay on customers’ phones.
