Broadcast report, export and retargeting
Read the delivery funnel for a campaign, filter recipients by status, see why messages failed, export a CSV and retarget non-responders.
The Broadcasts list
The Broadcasts page lists every campaign with its Template, Recipients, Delivery rate, Read rate, Status and Date.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Saved, not sent |
| Scheduled | Will send at the chosen time |
| Sending | In the queue now |
| Sent | Finished |
| Failed | Nothing could be sent — open it to see why |
Open a broadcast
Click a broadcast to see:
- Stats: Total Recipients, Sent, Delivered, Read, Replied and Failed.
- Funnel: how many people dropped off at each stage.
- Recipients table: contact, phone, status, sent / delivered / read times and the Error for failed messages.
Use All statuses to filter, for example to show only Failed recipients.
Why do statuses change after sending?
WhatsApp reports Delivered and Read later, when the customer’s phone receives and opens the message. Numbers keep rising for a while after the broadcast finishes. Read receipts are only reported if the customer has them switched on, so the real read rate is usually higher than shown.
Understand failed messages
The Error column shows Meta’s reason. The most common:
| Code | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 131026 | The number isn’t on WhatsApp, or the number is wrong |
| 131049 | Meta held back this marketing message (engagement limit) — don’t retry for 24 hours |
| 132000 | Variable count doesn’t match the template |
| 130429 | Throughput limit — the queue retries automatically |
All codes are in Meta error codes.
Export a CSV
Click Export CSV on the broadcast page. The file includes every recipient (or only the filtered ones) with status, timestamps and error. Useful for cleaning invalid numbers from your list.
Retarget
To follow up with people who didn’t respond:
- Click New Broadcast.
- In the audience step choose Retarget Past Broadcast, pick this broadcast and choose Read, no reply or Received, no reply.
- Pick a reminder template and send.
