API campaigns

Save a template once and send it from your website, Zapier or Pabbly with one call — Vatli adds the contact, tags them and fills the blanks.

An API campaign is a saved template plus rules for its blanks. Your website or a tool like Zapier calls one address with the customer’s number, and Vatli does the rest: creates or updates the contact, adds tags and sends the template.

Create one

Go to Settings → API campaigns and click New.
Enter a Name — it’s used in the address, e.g. order-shipped.
Choose an approved template.
For each blank, choose From the API call (give it a name like order_id) or Same text every time. You can also set a fallback if the call leaves it empty.
Optionally choose tags to add to everyone it’s sent to, and a default media link for a header.
Save. Click Copy example call to get a ready-made request.

Only to is required. A successful call returns 201 with the message, contact and conversation IDs. See API keys to create a key.
